Bob's interest in programming and systems started in high school, and he taught himself the foundations of what he knows today. His focus at Manlab is standalone applications, systems and databases.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Bob left Winnipeg 18 years ago and only recently returned to Winnipeg. While away, he (among other things) received his Pd.D in Biochemistry, worked in genomics and protemics, researched the regulation of gene expression, was an instructor at Harvard Medical School. No biggie, right?
Bob also learned to curl while he was away, and became the certified head ice tech for a curling club in Wayland, MA.
